This website was set up by members of the College of Staten Island community who opposed attempts by President William J. Fritz to reduce the role of faculty, staff and students in decision-making at the college. Approximately two months after the creation of this website, and following considerable media coverage (some of which is linked to this site), President Fritz announced his abrupt retirement, to take effect the end of fall semester 2021.  This website serves the function of documenting what has happened so far, and it will document what takes place in the months ahead; while CSI will soon receive new administrative leadership, the fate of shared governance at the institution remains uncertain.
